Ethiopian Environmental Protection Authority and GGGI Hold Courtesy Meeting at High-Level

Her Excellency Engineer Lelise Neme, Director General of the Ethiopian Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), met with Mr. Okechukwu Daniel Ogbonnaya, Country Representative for the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Ethiopia, to discuss cooperation on environmental protection.
The two parties engaged in a productive dialogue on aligning GGGI's support with the EPA's priorities outlined in its Sectoral Strategic Plan. They emphasized the importance of re-establishing open and constructive dialogue to strengthen collaboration between the EPA and GGGI. Both expressed a strong interest in continuing their partnership and exploring existing joint platforms for reviewing projects.
Director General Neme highlighted the need for capacity building to enhance access to multilateral financial mechanisms. She emphasized its crucial role in creating an enabling environment and ensuring effective project implementation at the national level. She also proposed holding high-level and technical meetings to map out future cooperation agendas.
