Environmental National Campaign to Tackle Pollution;
The June Agenda: “Water Pollution”
Theme: “Protect Our Waters, Every Drop Counts”
Water is life, and for Ethiopia, it is the lifeblood of our people and our land. Yet, our rivers, lakes, and streams face the challenge of pollution. Agricultural runoff, domestic sewage, and chemicals & wastes from factories are treated to contaminate our precious water sources, health, environment, and future prosperity.
Why We Must Act Now:
- Health: Polluted water spreads diseases and harms our children's growth and development.
- Environment: Wildlife and ecosystems suffer, disrupting the natural balance.
- Economy: Clean water is vital for agriculture, industry, and sustainable development.
Our Commitment:
1. Raise Awareness: Educate communities about the dangers of water pollution and how to prevent it.
2. Regulate and Enforce: Strengthen laws and regulations to prevent industrial and agricultural pollution.
3. Clean-Up Initiatives: Mobilize volunteers and organizations to clean our rivers and lakes.
4. Sustainable Practices: Promote eco-friendly farming and waste disposal methods.
Together, we can restore the purity of our waters and ensure a healthier, brighter future for Ethiopia. Let’s act now and make a lasting difference.
Protect Our Waters. Every Drop Counts.
